It's recommended to measure the inner height of the side panel frame (or the height of your old side panel, plus an additional 1/8") before cutting the double-layer side panel to size using the included hand saw.

Then, peel the yellow adhesive backing and stick one side of the panel to the frame, followed by peeling and sticking the other side to the air conditioner.

If you have a "clip-on" type panel frame, you'll need to remove the channel on the side before clipping the side panel to the frame.
